Screenshot: Importing questions from a file. The top navigation bar contains "Course", "Settings", "Participants", "Grades", "Reports", and "More". The "Import" tab is highlighted. Below it is the "File format" section with selectable options such as Aiken format, Blackboard, GIFT format, Moodle XML format, and Microsoft Word 2010 spreadsheet format.

The import allows you to import questions with different question types from one file. Please note that the file must be coded in a UTF-8 format. You can choose from the following file formats:

  • Aiken format
  • Blackboard
  • ExamView
  • Format “Missing Word”
  • Gift-format
  • Cloze replies
  • Microsoft Word 2010 table format
  • Moodle XML format
  • WebCT format

When importing, it also applies that not every file format supports every question type. Please check the questions before using them in the course room.
