Block Checklist (Students)

Block Checklist (Students)

Kurzinformation

Using the "Checklist" block, progress indicators can be integrated into the course page of the learning space in a visually present way. These inform students about the current processing status of the underlying checklists. This makes it easy for students to see what proportion of the elements of the checklists have already been completed. By clicking on the progress indicator, the individual elements of the selected checklists and their exact processing status can be called up.

The "checklist" block is to be distinguished from the "Progress bar" block, which refers to the activity completion tracking.

1. Visibility of the checklist block

The progress indicators included in the block "Checklist" are used to visualize the current processing status of checklists. This block is only available if by the managers of the learning space:

  • at least one checklist has been added to the learning space
  • and additionally, the block "Checklist" has been activated.

It is, therefore, possible that the block "Checklist " is not available in your learning space although there are one or even more checklists in the learning space. The decision whether and for which checklists a progress list block should be added to the learning space is solely up to your instructors. It is also possible that certain checklist blocks are only visible to selected groups in the learning space.

2. Visualization of the progress indicators

The checklist block is located together with the other blocks on the right side of the learning space. There can also be multiple checklist blocks included in the learning space, each of which then refers to the different checklist. There are two different types of checklist blocks, which can be distinguished from each other based on the information they provide and how they are displayed:

2.1. Checklist block for a single checklist

This checklist block visualizes the processing status of a specific checklist. The name of the checklist is displayed above the progress bar. By means of a green progress bar, you can see to what extent the elements of the checklist have already been completed.

By clicking on the progress bar, you can switch to the actual checklist. Here, the individual elements and their processing status are listed for the selected checklist. For detailed information on the structure and use of the checklist, please refer to the instructions for the progress list for students.

2.2. Checklist Overview

The checklist overview provides an overall view of the progress bars of all checklists in the current learning space. Each progress list is therefore visualized by its own progress bar. The green progress indicators show the proportion of the elements of the progress lists that have already been completed. The checklists are arranged in ascending order according to their processing status, starting with the progress list with the lowest processing status.

By clicking on one of the progress displays, you can switch to the associated checklist. Here, the individual elements and their processing status are listed for the selected checklist. For detailed information on the structure and use of the checklist, please refer to the instructions for the checklist for students.
