The usage statistics of a course room provide information on how intensively the available materials and activities are used, in compliance with data protection regulations. In all course rooms that are created automatically, these access statistics are activated by default. This includes all course rooms that are created from RWTHonline as well as all course rooms that are created via the course management system Antrago in RWTHmoodle for continuing education courses. In all other remaining course rooms, managers can manually activate the statistics in the course settings. They can then be viewed by all participants in the course rooms. Usage statistics can be deactivated in all course rooms at any time, if required.

In order for usage statistics to be displayed, managers must enable them in the course settings.

1. In the course room, click "Edit settings" in the middle of the menu bar.
2. In the "Learning Analytics" section, click on the checkbox next to "Enable Usage Statistics".
3. Click on "Save changes".

Afterwards, the new option "Usage statistics" appears in the center menu bar under the item "More". The page to which this link leads can be viewed by all participants in the course room.

If you want to hide the access statistics in the course room, uncheck the corresponding checkbox next to "Enable usage statistics" in the 2nd step instead.
