Using Business Phone Number in Webex (Softphone)

Detailinformation

Once you have activated your Webex account in the TK-Portal, you can use Webex for calls with your business phone number. This requires the activation of the softphone option in the TK-Portal.

  • Please note that you must activate softphone option for all devices on which you want to use Webex to make calls with your business phone number.

Please carry out the following steps.

Step 1
Activate the Softphone client button for the desired device in the TK-Portal, e.g. the Softphone client Desktop, to use your laptop or desktop computer for calls with Webex.

Step 2
When in Webex, please click on Calling to make calls with your business phone number via the Webex app.

You can also connect your desk phone to the Webex app and use it for calls.

  • To do so, click on Connect to a device and select your desk phone under "Personal devices".
  • You must be logged in to your desk phone for the device to be available for selection.

The device names have the following form: "Room no. | Name | Building no." You can customize your name in Devices in Webex settings.
