How to set environment variables in Windows?

1. Search for "Edit system environment variables" in the search bar and select the corresponding function.

2. In the window that now opens, select "Environment variables

3. All system-wide and user-wide variables are now displayed in the new window. Depending on the environment in which the variable is to be set, a variable can now be added by clicking on the corresponding "New..." field. By the two other surfaces the existing variable selected in the list can be edited or deleted.

4. Set the name of the variable and the value of the variable and confirm with OK.
