Usage Limits on Login Nodes
The login-nodes are not intended for heavy workloads. The following usage limitations apply:
- CPU Cores: Each user is permitted to use up to 4 CPU cores.
- Workload: Processes that use significant CPU resources for more than 20 minutes may get cancelled without prior warning.
- Memory: Each user's processes can collectively utilize up to 25% of the total available memory on a node. If this memory limit is reached, the process consuming the most memory will be terminated immediately without prior warning.
- GPU Usage: GPU access is restricted to 30 minutes per process. Processes exceeding this time limit will be automatically cancelled.
- Scheduled Reboots: For maintenance and optimal performance, all login nodes are rebooted weekly on Monday mornings at 6:00 AM.

The 4 GPUs on the login25-g-1 node are configured as follows:
