What is NAG?

This guide summarizes the most important information about the Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG) at RWTH, including licensing, availability, and documentation.
General Information
The Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG) is the provider of high-quality numerical software, which is widespread in research and development. In addition to a Fortran compiler, it provides numerous program libraries for various programming languages and platforms to solve numerical and statistical problems in mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering. The NAG Library is one of the most extensive collections of autonomous mathematical routines worldwide.
License Information
Use on the RWTH High-Performance Computing (HPC) Cluster
The NAG Libraries are installed on the RWTH High-Performance Computing cluster and can be used there free of charge.
The NAG Toolbox for MATLAB is available on request in appropriate versions of MATLAB installed on the RWTH High-Performance Computing cluster.
Use at Your Institute
If you want to use the NAG software in your institute, you can obtain it for free from the Software-Shop.
Documentation
Extensive documentation on the latest versions of the NAG libraries can be found on the website of the Numerical Algorithms Group.
Further information can also be obtained in the HPC User's Guide(Primer).
