What is NAG?

This guide summarizes the most important information about the NAG (Numerical Algorithms Group) software at RWTH, including availability and documentation.
General Information
The Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG) is the provider of a high-quality numeric software, which is widespread in research and development. Next to a Fortran compiler it provides numerous programme libraries for several programming languages and platforms for solutions of numeric and statistic problems of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering. The NAG library is one of the most extensive collections of autonomous mathematic routines worldwide.
License Information & Availability
Use on the RWTH High-Performance Computing (HPC) Cluster
Note: The NAG Libraries are installed on the RWTH High Performance Computing cluster and can be used there free of charge.
The NAG Toolbox for MATLAB is available on request in appropriate versions of MATLAB installed on the RWTH High Performance Computing cluster.
Use at Your Institute
Note: If you want to use the NAG software in your institute you can obtain it for free in the Software-Shop.
Documentation
Extensive documentation on the latest versions of the NAG libraries can be found on the website of the Numerical Algorithms Group.
Further information can also be obtained in the HPC User's Guide(Primer).
