The software provided by us is only to be used for research and teaching purposes and is restricted to members of RWTH Aachen University. Depending on the software agreement, only certain members of RWTH Aachen University are allowed to use the software (e.g. employees of the institutions of RWTH Aachen University). To ensure this, the software can only be ordered by authenticated and authorized persons in the Software-Shop. The access to the download server is realised via the RWTH Single Sign-On. In addition to that, the access to the license server is possible within the RWTH Aachen network only.

A few software products are also provided for other universities in NRW via the NRW-Software-Shop. In this case, other security mechanisms are applied.
