LDAP for user certificates from the RA-Portal

The LDAP servers for RWTH user certificates from the RA-Portal can be reached as follows:

Name	Serveraddresse	Basis-DN	Port number	Purpose	Availability
RWTH-LDAP	ldappv.rwth-aachen.de	o=RWTH Aachen University,ou=GEANT/TCS,dc=rwth-aachen,dc=de	636	all valid S/MIME certificates issued through RA-Portal	only within the RWTH intranet
DFN-LDAP	ldap.pca.dfn.de	ou=DFN-PKI,o=DFN-Verein,c=de	636	all valid S/MIME certificates issued through RA-Portal after the 01.03.2025 all valid S/MIME certificates issed by DFN-PKI, explicit user consent is a prerequisite	internet

Using these settings you can configure LDAP as an address book.

You can search the LDAP address book using the following options:

e-mail address (primary search)
surname
Common Name
- Certificates for functional e-mail addresses are issued without a Common Name
maximum 3 search results delivered.
