Instead of the full first name, the call name defined in the self-service will be set and a surname that has changed, e.g. due to marriage, will be corrected.

    Example:

Peter Theodor Muster has married and taken his wife's surname, Müller.

Muster, Peter Theodor (peter.theodor.muster@rwth-aachen.de) becomes Müller, Peter (peter.mueller@rwth-aachen.de)

Email addresses and alias addresses do not change and you do not need to make any configuration changes.

    Release MailAdm 3.0.3

    New functions

    • MailAdm: Self-service for maintaining domain admins under General -> Domain admins can be activated
    • MailAdm / APIv04: Checking an entered mail address for unauthorized characters (umlauts, spaces)
    • MailAdm / APIv04: When setting up new e-mail accounts, a welcome e-mail is now sent to the mailbox to initialize the mailbox.
    • APIv04: Introduction of a new GetMailbox function for retrieving a single mailbox
    • APIv04: Introduction of a new function ChangeMailboxType for changing the mailbox type between function, room and equipment mailboxes.

    Please note here:

    • After a change from room and equipment to a functional mailbox, the password for the account must be reset in self-service
    • Room and equipment mailboxes are deactivated and can only be accessed with full access rights
    • It is NOT possible to switch from or to the personal type

    Improvements

    • MailAdm / APIv04: Handling of full access and send-as rights has been improved. The initial setting should now work more reliably. If errors still occur when setting an authorization in MailADM, the supposedly incorrect entry can now be removed via MailAdm and re-entered.
    • MailAdm / APIv04: For newly created mailboxes, the automatic sending of read receipts when retrieving via the ActiveSync protocol is prevented by default.
    • APIv04: The return type APIMailbox now also contains the list of users with send-as authorization in the SendAsUsers attribute.

As the changes to the mail API are merely extensions and no changes have been made to existing method signatures, a new version of the API endpoint has not been provided for this release.
