A new version of the MailAdm tool was released on 27.10.2022.
The following changes are included in this release:
Release MailADM 4.4.0
- Improvements:
- Possibility to reassign functional mailboxes:
- Mailaccount overview has new icons/buttons for reassigning non-personal mailboxes
- New overview of mailboxes that are currently being reassigned
- Functional accounts can be reassigned in large groups and individually
- Selection option for an info mail to the user who is to be linked to the functional account
- Improvement of the process when creating new mailboxes. Any email address can now be entered here to which the coupon for linking is sent

A new version of the MailAdm tool and API was released on 31.05.2022.
The following changes are included in this release:
Release MailADM 4.2.0
- The old authorization mechanism has now been dismantled following the switch to the role-based model. A rollback is therefore no longer possible
- AdmGUI logging overview for an admin are now for the displayed domain and you can no longer look up the logs of another domain due to the cleanup work, which you would also have access to. You then have to change the domain context
- Service accounts are no longer offered on a personalized basis, but primary mail domains can request service accounts for their domain. Several service accounts can be offered for a domain, but anyone can change the password for this via access to the AdmGUI in the mail area. This means that the assignment of who uses which service account in the institute is left up to you. A comment field has been added for this purpose, which can be used to enter a note.
- Service account restriction at the endpoints has been implemented and is running
- Office invitations could be viewed by unauthorized persons under certain circumstances
- Improvements to internal logging
- Password changes for service accounts could not be changed by some users. Is now fixed
- Improvement of the display and correction of typing errors
MailADM APIv05_2
- There is an additional check whether the use of the API was authorized by a client IP in advance
A new version of the MailAdm tool and API was released on 07.02.2022.
The following changes are included in this release:
Release MailAdm 4.1.0
- Added sorting of open invitations according to the “Created on” attribute
- Admins are now authorized by the ReRo service of RWTH Aachen University, which is why the MailAdm administration role must be assigned by the role administrator
- Fixed a bug that caused previously unredeemed invitations not to be displayed correctly
- Distribution lists are no longer displayed twice
- “Members” label was missing when editing distribution lists

- Hotfix for distribution lists: these can now be created, deleted, restored and deactivated again

Release MailAdm 3.0.4 and MailADM APIv05_1
A new version of the MailAdm tool and API was released on 31.05.2021.
The following changes are included in this release:

- No configuration option for configuring forwarding for a personal mailbox by the mail domain administrator

One-off changes to display names of RWTH e-mail accounts
As part of a synchronization process, the display name of the e-mail accounts (RWTH e-mail account) will be corrected from Tue, 08.12.20 if necessary.
Instead of the full first name, the call name defined in the self-service will be set and a surname that has changed, e.g. due to marriage, will be corrected.
Example:
Peter Theodor Muster has married and taken his wife's surname, Müller.
Muster, Peter Theodor (peter.theodor.muster@rwth-aachen.de) becomes Müller, Peter (peter.mueller@rwth-aachen.de)
Email addresses and alias addresses do not change and you do not need to make any configuration changes.
Release of the new MailADM API v05
The following changes have been made in the new MailADM API v05:
- Distribution lists can be restored
- New function GetsAMAccountNameForUPN
- Return data type of ChangeMailboxType now ReturnCodeAndValue
- Method name SetResourceMailboxDisplayName changed to SetMailboxDisplayName
- Due to the introduction of default groups when creating the invitation, the signature of CreateMailAccountInvitation and CreateMailAccountInvitationForExistingUser has been extended
Release of the new MailADM API v04
The following changes have been made in the new MailADM API v04:

Release MailAdm 3.0.3
A new version of the MailAdm tool and API was released on 07.04.2020.
The following changes are included in this release:
New functions
- MailAdm: Self-service for maintaining domain admins under General -> Domain admins can be activated
- MailAdm / APIv04: Checking an entered mail address for unauthorized characters (umlauts, spaces)
- MailAdm / APIv04: When setting up new e-mail accounts, a welcome e-mail is now sent to the mailbox to initialize the mailbox.
- APIv04: Introduction of a new GetMailbox function for retrieving a single mailbox
- APIv04: Introduction of a new function ChangeMailboxType for changing the mailbox type between function, room and equipment mailboxes.
Please note here:
- After a change from room and equipment to a functional mailbox, the password for the account must be reset in self-service
- Room and equipment mailboxes are deactivated and can only be accessed with full access rights
- It is NOT possible to switch from or to the personal type
Improvements
- MailAdm / APIv04: Handling of full access and send-as rights has been improved. The initial setting should now work more reliably. If errors still occur when setting an authorization in MailADM, the supposedly incorrect entry can now be removed via MailAdm and re-entered.
- MailAdm / APIv04: For newly created mailboxes, the automatic sending of read receipts when retrieving via the ActiveSync protocol is prevented by default.
- APIv04: The return type APIMailbox now also contains the list of users with send-as authorization in the SendAsUsers attribute.
As the changes to the mail API are merely extensions and no changes have been made to existing method signatures, a new version of the API endpoint has not been provided for this release.
