Creating eduroam credentials for your active device

Creating eduroam credentials for your active device

Kurzinformation

The following manual describes the process of creating login credentials for your active device in the eduroam Devicemanager (www.rwth-aachen.de/eduroam).

You will find a video tutotial for the usage of the eduroam Devicemanager here.

Anleitung

Create login data for the device in use

To create login data for the device in use, choose the option Create login credentials for your current device (www.rwth-aachen.de/eduroam):

The name of the device in use will be shown. Click on Create login credentials:

The created login data will be shown and you can use them to log in into eduroam.

If one receives an error message (e.g. when reloading the page), the process has to be done once again.

The reason for this is that the credentials will only be shown once after creating them.

You will find corresponding configuration instructions under the instructions.

Please note that you need to delete already existing eduroam configurations in your device before you can enter the new credentials. You will find more information in our FAQ.

CAUTION! Login names generated for members of RWTH Aachen University end with @rwth.edufi.de and for the members of the FZ Jülich with @fzj.edufi.de.

There is no validity for credentials ending with @rwth-aachen.de which were created via the eduroam device manager in the past.
In these cases, new credentials ending with @rwth.edufi.de must be created for the affected devices.

Close the browser tab without saving the login data (Why?).
