This page describes how to give devices access to RWTH-devices.

 

Note

Only the organization's network contact person can register devices. You can find your contact person in the Networks-View (only accessible via the RWTH network).

To give devices access, you must register them in Radius-Admin.

Step 1
Open Radius-Admin.

Note: This page is only available in German.

Step 2
Click IoT-Geräte.

Step 3
Click Erstellen (Create).

Step 4
Fill out the form under IoT-Gerät. The PSK (Pre-Shared Key) will be the password used to connect the device to the network.

Step 5
Select the user.

Step 6
Choose your organization and the corresponding VLAN.

Note: If you select a [RWTH] VLAN, the device must be authorized by the IT Center. If you select a different VLAN, the devices will be authorized automatically.

Step 7
Click IoT-Gerät erstellen (Create IoT-Device).

Your device has been registered. Please wait 5 minutes before connecting it to the network.
