General information on RWTH-guests (Wi-Fi)
The Wi-Fi network RWTH-guests is intended to provide short-term internet access to all guests at the RWTH.
RWTH-guests has not been rolled out to buildings belonging to Uniklinik RWTH Aachen (UKA). UKA has its own network for guests. |
The connection with the SSID RWTH-guests is possible in two ways:
- the user has received a guest login from the host
- the user does not have a guest login and gets only short term and speed limited internet access
For guests staying longer than 3 months, hosts are encouraged to go through the RWTH-Partner procedure. By doing so, their guests will get time limited eduroam access.
Guests whose home institution uses eduroam, get internet access by simply using the SSID eduroam and without changing their device configuration (credentials).
