Server configuration

This page describes which general settings must be used to integrate your RWTH-E-Mail-address.
You can find out which E-Mail-clients are actively supported in the article Supported E-Mail-Programs & Apps.
Detailed instructions for integrating your RWTH-E-Mail-address into the supported e-mail-clients can also be found in this article or via the navigation bar on the left-hand side under the name of the respective e-mail-client.
Normally, integration should be carried out via the option Exchange. However, IMAP / SMTP are also possible.
Detailed instructions for integrating functional mailboxes for which you have been granted full access / send as permissions can be found in the article on Thunderbird.
Please note the difference between e-mail-address/sender-address(vorname.nachname@rwth-aachen.de) and user name (ab123456@rwth-aachen.de).You can find more information on this in our RWTH-E-Mail FAQ.
