Installation VMWare Tools Linux

The Open-VM-Tools are included in many linux distributions and can be installed in the respective package manager. VMWare recommends to use Open-VM-Tools only were it is supported.

You have to enter some information in this matrix:

  • Product name is: ESXi
  • Product Version: ESXi 6.7
  • The keywort is the used guest operating system's name. For example: CentOS
  • Choose open-vm-tools in the field VMWare Tools

Finally, click now on "show results" to show the results.

For CentOS

yum install open-vm-tools
