How did this content help you?
- In the SeviRe-Portal under ‘Virtual server hosting’ > ‘VM List’ you will find a table of all virtual machines (VM) belonging to your organisation. In this table, a link to the corresponding vCenter Server is stored for each VM in the ‘vCenter link’ column, which takes you directly to the context of the VM in question. The prerequisite for using the functions of the vCenter Server (VM On/Off/Rest/Suspend, KVM, Remote Media) is that you have the ‘VM Admin’ role for the VM.
- You need the following data to log in to the vCenter:
- User name: <username (format: ab123456)>
- Password: <your personal server hosting password>
- The vCenter Servers can only be reached from RWTH Aachen University networks.

How did this content help you?
Imports and exports of VMs for the IT Center's "Virtual Server Hosting" service are not supported.
Due to the very high effort and poor technical results of VM imports and exports, these cannot be supported.
New VMs can be requested at any time via orders in the SeviRe Portal.
Data from and to VMs can be copied via the board tools of the operating system installed on a VM or the applications used there.
