Connect to GitHub or RWTH Single Sign-On
Link with GitHub
To link your account to GitHub, proceed as follows:
- Log in on https://git.rwth-aachen.de or https://git-ce.rwth-aachen.de with the RWTH Single Sign-On
- Go to the page https://git.rwth-aachen.de/-/profile/account or https://git-ce.rwth-aachen.de/-/profile/account
- Click on "Connect" under "Social sign-in" to the right of the GitHub symbol.
- Follow the instructions from GitHub
Remove link with GitHub
To remove your link with GitHub, proceed as follows:
- Login to https://git.rwth-aachen.de or https://git-ce.rwth-aachen.de with the RWTH Single Sign-On
- Go to the page https://git.rwth-aachen.de/-/profile/account or https://git-ce.rwth-aachen.de/-/profile/account
- Click on "disconnect" under "Social sign-in" to the right of the GitHub symbol.
Link with RWTH Single Sign-On
Note: If you link an existing GitHub account to the RWTH Single Sign-On, you do not get permission to create projects and groups. Please contact the IT-ServiceDesk to obtain this authorization after linking. |
To link an existing account created with GitHub to the RWTH Single Sign-On, proceed as follows:
- Login to https://git.rwth-aachen.de or https://git-ce.rwth-aachen.de with the RWTH Single Sign-On
- Go to the page https://git.rwth-aachen.de/-/profile/account or https://git-ce.rwth-aachen.de/-/profile/account
- Click on "connect" under "Social sign-in" to the right of "RWTH Single Sign-On"
