If a list does not appear in the general list information, you can enter the URL of the list in the address bar.
For example:
- or https://lists.rwth-aachen.de/postorius/lists/Listenname@lists.rwth-aachen.de/

If you receive the error message "HTTP Error 409: Subscription request already pending" when registering for a list, the list owner must delete your registration.
You will then need to register again.
To contact the list owner, send an email to <list name>-owner@lists.rwth-aachen.de

There are two ways to unsubscribe from a mailing list:
- Via email:
- Send an email to <list name>-unsubscribe@lists.rwth-aachen.de (for golf, this would be golf-unsubscribe@lists.rwth-aachen.de) or <list name>-leave@lists.rwth-aachen.de.
- The subject line and content are irrelevant.
- You will then receive an email with a confirmation message. You can complete the unsubscription process by simply replying to the “confirm” message and leaving the subject line unchanged.
- In Mailman: If you have a Mailman (opens in new tab) account, you can also unsubscribe from a mailing list in Mailman.
Please note:
In certain cases, mailing lists have different rules, see: Why can't I de-register from certain automated mailing lists?

RWTH Aachen University has several automated mailing lists for addressing specific groups of people, such as all RWTH employees, all students, students of a particular subject, or people with assigned roles from role management.
The mailing lists ensure that all affected persons receive relevant information.
Since the lists are filled automatically, it is not possible to unsubscribe from them.

If one of your users has selected message collection as a delivery option, this can lead to unwieldy and strangely formatted notifications for the user.
Workaround: Switch to MIME Digest for the user. The user can also change this themselves in their account.
