When do I need the role?

The role Verwaltung Organisation (Administration Organization) is required to create entries in the RWTH Organization Directory and RWTH Person Directory, on which RWTHcontacts is based.
Entries in the Person Directory are required for all RWTH employees. In addition to providing contact data, these entries are necessary for certain IT Center services.

At least one person in each RWTH organization must be assigned this role.

 

How do I get the role?

The role Verwaltung Organisation (Administration Organization) is assigned by the Role Manager of your respective organization via the IdM Role Administration.

 

What does the role do?

The role Verwaltung Organisation (Administration Organization) grants access to the RWTH Organization Directory and Person Directory after assignment, with a maximum synchronization time of 24 hours. It allows maintaining the contact details of an organization and its associated people.

As the holder of the role, you are responsible for keeping your organization’s data accurate and up to date, creating entries for new employees, and removing them when employees leave.
