VMWare Tools installation and upgrade on Windows

To do so, please follow the steps below:

1. Search for the VM on SeviRe and click on the associated vCenter link.
2. Log in to the vCenter server with your Serverhosting account.
3. Under Actions > Guest OS, you can install or configure upgrades for the VMware Tools.
   1. To automatically update VMware Tools, select Automatic Tools Upgrade under Actions > Guest OS > Upgrade VMware Tools.
4. Restart the VM.

Open VM Tools installation and upgrade on Linux

VMware recommends using Open VM Tools on Linux distributions.

In many Linux distributions, Open VM Tools are included and can be installed via the respective package manager. Use the package manager functions of your Linux distribution for installation and upgrade.
