Lost Tokens

Detailinformation

When you initially set up tokens, you were asked to create and download a TAN list (one-time security codes). If you still have access to this list or additional tokens, you can use one of the one-time security codes to access the tokenmanager in IdM Selfservice and create new tokens.

If you can no longer access the Token Manager, you must first contact the IT Service Desk in person and authenticate yourself with a valid identification document (ID card, passport, German residence permit). If you are unable to authenticate yourself on site, you can authorize another person or request a new token by post, parallel to a password reset.

The IT Service Desk will issue a one-time TAN for you to log in to the Token Manager via the self-service. You can use this TAN to log in to the Token Manager once and then create new tokens. At least one new TAN list must be generated, but we would kindly ask you to create at least two different tokens.

Important: Only use the TAN list received from the IT-ServiceDesk to log in to the Token Manager, as the TAN is only valid once.
