Deactivating or Deleting Tokens

guide

This page describes how to deactivate or delete your tokens if you no longer have access to them (e.g. if you have lost your smartphone).

Please note

You must have at least one TAN list (one-time security codes). If you want to delete all tokens, you must first delete all other tokens before you can delete the TAN list.
If you no longer have an active token, you can no longer access IT services that are protected with a second factor.

Deactivating token

If you temporarily do not have access to your token, you can deactivate it in the Token Manager.

Step 1
Select the relevant token.

Step 2
Click on Deactivate.

This token is temporarily not available for multifactor authentication. To reactivate the token, select it and click on Activate.

For greater security, delete the token.

Deleting token

If you no longer have access to your token, or if you think it may have been compromised, delete it immediately in the Token Manager.

Step 1
Select the relevant token.

Step 2
Click Delete.

The token is now no longer available for multi-factor authentication.
