If you want to establish a connection from the app to the hub with a new device for the first time, you must first register it.

To register a device, proceed as follows:

Step 1
Select the vault you wish to open.

Step 2
The Unlock vault name window opens.

Enter the account key and a device name for the device.

You can use the device name to identify your device later.

Then confirm the entry by clicking on Register.

The account key was generated when the account was set up and can also be found in the account settings in the Cryptomator Hub.

Step 3
A confirmation dialogue is then displayed.

Click on Unlock (Entsperren) to unlock the vault.

You have now done everything and you can unlock the vault. Cryptomator then mounts the vault as a network drive and you can view and edit the data content.
