Please ensure that you restart (power cycle/cold start) your VMs provided as part of the Virtual Server Hosting service at least once per calendar quarter to update the VM tools.

To maintain functionality and IT security, VM tool updates provided by the hypervisor manufacturer must be installed regularly. The IT Center provides these updates on a quarterly basis so that they are automatically installed the next time the VMs are restarted. All available updates are installed during the restart.
