To maintain functionality and IT security, VMware Tools updates provided by the manufacturer must be installed regularly.
The IT Center provides these updates on a quarterly basis so that they are automatically installed the next time the VMs are restarted. 

Important!
Please ensure that you restart (power cycle/cold start) your VMs at least once per calendar quarter to update the VMware Tools.
