What is the DigitalArchive?
With the DigitalArchive service, the IT Center offers all employees the option of storing specific data sets that are not research data on a long-term basis. Research data can also be archived via the Coscine integration platform, among other things.
Data from administration, teaching as well as other university-related data can be archived on an object storage infrastructure via a suitable S3 client.
Who can use the DigitalArchive?
Employees or administrators of an institution have complete control and responsibility over the archived data sets.
How to use the DigitalArchive?
The setup and management of the associated DigitalArchive projects are handled via the web-based SeviRe portal.
The following features are available via the SeviRe portal:
- Manage access permissions
- Set up additional S3 users and administrators for a data project
- Increase storage quota
Note: The DigitalArchive is intended for long-term data storage, but is not designed as a backup or restore service. If you require services for regular data backup or data recovery after loss, please use Backup/Restore.
