KI:connect / RWTHgpt

What is KI:connect / RWTHgpt?

KI:connect.nrw is a project funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia as part of DH.NRW.
The KI:connect service is a joint development of the IT Center and the Center for Teaching and Learning Services (CLS) and provides a central platform for generative AI for universities.
Higher education institutions in North Rhine-Westphalia can use it to gain centralized, data protection-compliant access to various AI models and applications.

RWTHgpt is the AI chatbot for RWTH Aachen University, based on KI:connect. With RWTHgpt, members of the RWTH Aachen University community can chat directly with an artificial intelligence system, ask questions, and have texts or ideas generated.
Various language models and AI tools can be flexibly used via the central KI:connect web interface. Depending on the model, there are different usage options

You can find an overview of the structure and available functions of RWTHgpt in our RWTHgpt Articles.
