RWTHgpt / KI:connect
The IT Center and the Center for Teaching and Learning Services provide RWTH employees and students with free access to generative AI systems through RWTHgpt.
The RWTHgpt service is based on the AI technologies from OpenAI and includes various language models and AI tools, which can be freely selected by the user.
The systems can be accessed via a web interface developed at RWTH Aachen University, which enables data-protection-compliant use of the OpenAI systems.
Based on RWTHgpt, RWTH has launched the state-wide project KI:connect.nrw, funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of NRW. Within this project, RWTH provides the infrastructure used in RWTHgpt to all universities in NRW through the central web interface KI:connect.
You can find an overview of all currently available features, as well as important notes and limitations here: RWTHgpt features
RWTHgpt is continuously being developed with existing bugs being fixed and new functions and additional AI models regularly added.
An overview of new features and the latest updates for RWTHgpt and KI:connect can be found on our IT Center Changes Blog.
