Network Contact Person Management

Please note
Network contact persons are managed independently by organizations via the IdM Role and Group Management.
Management of network contact persons is carried out via the IdM Role and Group Management. For this purpose, the following three roles are used:
Role "Verwaltung Netzelemente" (network elements manager):
- The holder of this role can create, edit, and delete any groups in the IdM Role and Group Management, as well as add individuals to and remove them from all groups.
- The role is assigned by the person with the role "Verwaltung Rollen" (role manager) in the respective organization.
Role "Verwaltung Gruppenmitglieder" (group members manager):
- The holder of this role can add new individuals to the group in which they have the role " "Verwaltung Gruppenmitglieder" (group members manager)," as well as add other individuals as " "Verwaltung Gruppenmitglieder" (group members manager)."
- The role is assigned by the person with the role "Verwaltung Netzelemente" (network elements manager) or "Verwaltung Gruppenmitglieder" (group members manager).
Role "Mitglied Gruppen" (Member Groups):
- The holder of this role has access to the applications assigned to the respective group, as well as the right to configure networks and domains assigned to that group within the designated applications.
- The role is assigned by the person with the role "Verwaltung Netzelemente" (network elements manager) or "Verwaltung Gruppenmitglieder" (group members manager).
The process involves the following steps (step-by-step guide):
- The person with the role "Verwaltung Netzelemente" (network elements manager) creates a group for an institution.
- The person with the role "Verwaltung Netzelemente" (network elements manager) assigns the role "Mitglied Gruppen" (group member) within that group.
- The person with the role "Verwaltung Netzelemente" (network elements manager) also has the option to assign the role "Verwaltung Gruppenmitglieder" (group members manager) within a group to delegate the management of group members to that individual.
The individuals holding the role "Mitglied Gruppen" (member groups) are registered network contact persons and can manage networks and domains for their institution.
