General information

NOC Portal

What is the NOC-Portal?

The NOC Portal is the central hub for network management for all departments at RWTH. It provides an overview of network self-service portals, which RWTH institutions can use to make or request changes to their own networks and domains.

The main network self-service portals are:

  • DNS Admin
  • DHCP Admin
  • Firewall Forms
  • Interface Admin
  • Rights Manager

The assignment of networks or domains to RWTH institutions in the NOC portal is managed via groups. RWTH institutions add members to these groups, who then act as network contacts for the assigned networks and domains.

Group members are added independently by the institution via IdM Role and Group Management.

Registered network contact persons are authorized for the following actions:

  • reporting a network fault,
  • making changes to the assigned networks and domains,
  • or requesting these changes, if they cannot be carried out independently.

Who is allowed to use the NOC portal?

The NOC portal may be used by registered network contact persons.

How do you use the NOC portal?

You can access the NOC portal via RWTH Single Sign-On.

Access to the NOC portal, as well as to all network self-service portals, is only possible from within the RWTH network.
