What is Research Data Management?
Research Data Management (RDM) describes the strategic and systematic handling of data throughout its entire lifecycle. It includes planning, collection, storage, and long-term archiving to make data comprehensible and reusable.

Who can use Research Data Management?
The services are aimed at all researchers at RWTH Aachen University. This includes professors, academic staff, doctoral candidates, and students who wish to collect and manage their own research data as part of projects or final theses.
How can you use Research Data Management?
The IT Center supports Research Data Management at RWTH Aachen University with the following key applications:
- Coscine: A central platform for managing research data and integrating various storage types.
- RDMO - Research Data Management Organiser: A tool for creating and organizing structured Data Management Plans (DMP).
