What is the Software Asset Management (SAM)?

The tool Software Asset Management (SAM) provides RWTH Aachen organizations with an overview of existing software contracts and enables centralized and uniform management of the software used.

This specifically means that purchases made for the organization through the Software Shop are incorporated into the SAM tool, allowing for a comparison between purchased and deployed software.

For this purpose, RWTH uses the license management software USU License Management from USU.
 

Who can use SAM?

The usage of the tool is voluntary. SAM can be used free of charge by the organizations.
 

How to use SAM

In order to use SAM, your organization must be enabled for use.

After activation, you can install and use SAM.
