This page describes how to access the Linux installation server.

Please note that the server can only be accessed via the RWTH Aachen University networks.
Use a LAN connection, the active WLANs at RWTH, or the RWTH VPN.

The Linux installation server is called installc1.itc.rwth-aachen.de.
You can access the server via the following protocol: https://installc1.itc.rwth-aachen.de

The installation sources for the individual distributions required for the network installation of CentOS Linux are available under the path /centos/<distribution>-<version>/<architecture>/cd1.
Replace the parameter <architecture> with x86_64, i386, i585, or i68, depending on your computer and distribution.

In addition to the installation files for CentOS Linux, updates for the still supported distribution versions of CentOS and Fedora Linux are also available on the server.
These can be found in the directory /export/<distribution>/updates/<version>.
