Unfortunately, we must discontinue the printing service we have offered for many years in its current form at the IT Center.

The reason for this is the technically poor condition of the printing equipment. After a thorough analysis and various repair attempts, we have unfortunately concluded that the equipment is beyond repair due to its advanced age and numerous existing defects.

While considering how to maintain this service at RWTH, synergies with the ZHV’s in-house print shop quickly became apparent.

After consulting with Department 5.0, we have jointly concluded that transferring the service to the university’s in-house print shop – and thereby creating a central point of contact for printed materials at RWTH – makes sense and is beneficial for you as customers. This will allow us to expand the range of printed materials offered while maintaining the same straightforward internal billing process.

The university’s in-house print shop (opens in new tab) plans to launch the Print Service shortly, at which point plotting will once again be possible under similarly simple conditions.
