Migrating to Sophos Central
Sophos has discontinued support for the current on-premise variants of its virus scanner and the management software "Sophos Enterprise Console" as of 20.07.2023! After this date, these products will no longer be provided with updates by the manufacturer. If you are currently using Sophos as your virus scanner solution, you must migrate your systems to the successor offerings by the above date to ensure that they continue to be protected.
There are different migration options depending on your use case. This page is intended to serve as an entry point to provide useful information about the migration in one place.
Institutes of RWTH
Under the current land license agreement, institutions can migrate to the cloud-based successor platform, Sophos Central, at no cost.
Be aware: Institutions that have not yet deployed Sophos Enterprise Console and provide clients with a standalone installation of the virus scanner will also need a Sophos Central instance in the future.
