When a certificate is installed using Outlook, users can only choose between the medium and high security levels. Both security levels result in Adobe not being able to access a private key without authorization from a user by entering their credentials.
This pop-up is generally intended as a security measure. If you wish to disable the pop-up, you can do so by using the following workaround, where the certificate is imported using the Edge browser:
- Select “settings” in the Edge browser and select “Privacy, search, and services” on the left
- Scroll down until you reach the “Security” section. Click on the button next to “Manage certificates”
- You can now select and import your certificate using the dialogue window
- While importing your certificate, make sure not to tick the “highest security level” tick box.
After importing your security certificate using Edge, the pop-ups should no longer be displayed in other applications.
