(observe any possible necessary requirements for the library libstdc++)

On systems using the package management system 'yum', the installation can alternatively be executed with the following command:

yum install gskcrypt32-8.0.14.6.linux.x86.rpm gskssl32-8.0.14.6.linux.x86.rpm TIVsm-API.i386.rpm TIVsm-BA.i386.rpm

Hereby, package dependencies are autoamtically resolved. Please note that this usually results in the installation of further rpm-packages on your system.

Solaris

Mac OSDouble-click the "TSM installer" icon
Novell NetwareUse NWConfig.NLM

Detailed instructions for the installation are to be found in the respective download directories of the client.

For the installation of the client on Linux systems, a special version of the library 'libstdc++' is required. This library is usually not installed by default on current systems. In order to intsall the client, this library has to be added by installing a corresponding rpm-package (e.g. coompat-libstdc++33.i386). The respective compat-packages for the various distributions can be found on our installation and update server.

After successful installation, the DFN root certificate must be imported to establish communication between client and server. See Importing the Certificate
